When moisturizing dehydrated skin it is best to use a rich face lotion that will nourish the skin. Always be sure to use a moisturizer that is free of mineral oils. Mineral oils can cause the skins elasticity to weaken, eventually causing wrinkles.

A moisturizer should be applied after cleansing and toning. The majority of moisturizers are emulsions of oil and water.
