Creating a chocolate bath can be more fun that you thought!!!
Bathing in Chocolate
From Diane Robinson
Chocolate is making a comeback with health conscious new applications. Research is showing that dark chocolate contains flavanols. Flavanols are antioxidants that can help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, decrease blood pressure, improve glucose metabolism, and increase serotonin and endorphin production.
Body care is being revolutionized with new options for cleansing and protecting our largest organ; our skin. The skin is a semi-permeable membrane. It allows substances that are small enough to pass into the blood stream. Medicinal patches rely on the skin to mediate the transfer from the patch and into the bloodstream. For this reason cosmetics and body treatments should be chosen with the same care as the the food that we eat.
A good quality organic cocoa is the first ingredient in a romantic chocolate bath. Mix one cup of cocoa with two cups of milk, soy milk, rice milk, or goats milk. The milk helps to breakdown old dead skin cells. Add half a cup of honey and whip until frothy (an immersion blender works well).
Pour a very warm bath, adding the frothed milk chocolate right at the end. Just before stepping into the tub, pour a large glass of ice wine or champagne into the bath. The wine has exfoliating and antioxidant properties. Pour a second glass for yourself or to share with your lover. If you and your bath mate are playful take a bar of dark chocolate (70% is optimum) with you to nibble on or finger paint with while sipping wine in your chocolate bath. The chocolate, wine, and milk will leave your skin soft, sexy, and glowing. The smell of chocolate will follow you all day.Diane Robinson is a natural beauty provider, currently developing a line of natural bath products. For more great recipes visit Natural Spas Canada at http://naturalspascanada.comArticle Source: https://EzineArticles.com/
